Looks like a cheesy 90’s action movie.. Will do for Dragon Ball franchise what Hollywood did to Street Fighter, and Mortal Combat… Destroy the franchise’s image….

hello.. alright.. so piccolo’s not totally green.. did you expect to see roshi wearing a turtle shell, this isn’t TMNT.. Piccolo is an alien, if he looks like he’s from star trek, that’s because it was a show about ALIENS.. looks like his antenna are on the side of his head and just in case none of you saw DB or DBZ, Goku isn’t asian.. he’s an alien too.. so anyone could have played the part.. the show never really specified anyone as being any race.. but it’s possible that chi chi, yamcha and roshi were asian, and they were cast to look as such. i don’t know why everyone is such a hater on this movie.. chill out an watch it first… let’s see what the special effects guys can do with it.. =)
I am 35 years old, and I know teenagers to people in their 40s who appreciated Dragonball. I know a big mistaken, when I see one. I started watching dragonball in the 90s, and got hook on this character called Goku. I watched the characters develop into being stronger, faster, and more powerful than superman and other comic super heros. It’s a seroius cartoon with comical scenes, but its not a comedy or a joke like Hollywood seems to be doing. So far, I see a disater, even bigger than streetfighter & mortal combat. The actor selection process is terrible as usual.
Why not use the Asian-American actor, Ernie Reyes, Jr from The Rundown (starring “The Rock”) where he played a Brazilian freedom fighter. Ernie Reyes Jr has been acting on thr big screen since he was 5 yrs old as an expert in martial arts and walterweight kickbocking champion. He would make an good Goku as well some others.
Even after seeing the FXs of the matrix, kung fu huslters, and few other during that time, I knew that would not be enough to make “Dragonball Z or GT yet, but you might be able to get away with making Dragon ball the right way, with a real budget. Now the FXs and skills are here today, but it looks like priorities are not.
One more thing Piccolo does like a joke. Let start all over, he green; I like him green. They should make his skin much better than that also.
I hope the executive are reading, so I can said “please don’t allow one the most anticipated Movies to become the most depressing form of entertainment for everyone’s Friday Night @ the cinema, or home entertainment system.
The director, producers, and/or actor should be someone who is a fan or fanatic about Dragonball. And, if they need my help, free to contact me, please. That all I have to say for now.
Hollywood, it’s not too make changes, and do it right.

I really don’t know what to say? The trailer, it looks nothing like Dragon Ball, none of the actors even look like there counter parts except maybe young goku and Yamcha, but there still pretty far behind,
If you screen shot a few frames you can very much tell that Piccolo is GREEN… But not Green enough for me,
I don’t like the whole idea of Goku going to high school, cause that was the best part of Dragon Ball is Goku Being kinda dumb when it comes to women, it was funny.

Seven, let’s discuss what a “boycott” is.. if you refuse to watch the move, and a thousand others do the same, that is NOT a boycott.. a boycott is when you abstain from using or affiliating youreslf with a group or product to coerce someone to do something.. that means you intimidate, or force them to change what they’re doing so that it benefits you. You don’t have that kind of power or influence, and you’ll never get them to change, so if you don’t watch the movie, they don’t care and it really doesn’t hurt them.. but it’s not a boycott.
Eighth, by no means do i think it’s going to top batman in box office sales, but there will be millions of viewers in the US and millions more around the globe,

1. there will be more than a million or two viewers outside of the U.S. In fact there will be more than that just in mexico. and yes probably at least that in asia.
2. again with the boycotting.. you don’t seem to understand this concept. most of the world doesn’t know what dragonball is and most of the world doesn’t care.. most of the world just like with any other movie, including batman will not watch it in theatres.. This is NOT.. I repeat NOT boycotting.. the fact that the majority of the world is not watching the film or “ignoring its existance completly” is not the result of a boycott.. it is true of every film every made. Again, a boycott is something that is done intentionally (not something ignored) by people who would otherwise want or need the product, and it is done to recieve a change or benefit from the resulting action.. to say that everyone will just not watch is insane.. there will be so many people, and tons of them in asia who are not that thick headed and may even want to just try to enjoy the film anyway..

I don’t know if those millions you imagine will watch this garbage are those who like you will watch anything Fox comes out with like sheep, but those are certainly no fans of Dragonball, and there aren’t millions of ’sheep’ herding after Fox out there, so QUIT FANTICIZING and get back to reality.

another thing that i’ve heard is that he starts out the color in the picture and becomes more green later in the film.. Marsters even said months ago that there was “Tons” of green on the set.. I know that’s not exactly like the cartoon, but like we said this isn’t an exact rip from the story line.. just like most of the original DBZ anime movies weren’t perfect rips from the story line..
Finally, who says that pure sayins are asian looking??? Not DB or DBZ or DBGT… if you think that.. fine.. but it’s not true.. the cartoon looks like an american.. just like superman in the comics looks american and so bingo.. he’s cast as an american.. not to mention that it’s being made in america.. they’re using some american actors..

2. Me not wanting roshi in a turtle shell doesn’t make it a fact that i don’t like dragonball.. it’s great in the cartoons, i just don’t want it in the movie.. again.. i want it to be believable.. like my favorite fantasy come to life.. in the REAL world.
3. your temples are next to your eyes.. if you look at the picture (for the second time) they are near the top corner area of his head.. where the Parietal and Frontal Skull Bones Connect.. there is NO specific name for this region, so please.. once again.. refer to the picture above. And i know you’ve assumed that they will not be in the movie.. but i think you are WRONG. AGAIN.
4. When i said more green.. NO.. i was not referring to that picture of him in a hood.. if i were reffering to the picture i would have said so, just like i HAVE reffered to the other picture several times.. although you seem to have ignored it.
5. The other dragonball and dragonball z films were NOT supplements to the story line.. they contradict the story line.. Sayins go SuperSayin for the first time at different times, Goku is on earth when he is supposed to be missing in space, the timelines and story lines don’t match up to the original series.. and if you didn’t notice that, then it’s probably because you’re too stupid to put 2 and 2 together.
6. Vegita NEVER said that sayins have Black hair.. HE SAID “a sayin is born with their hair for life, it never grows or changes color” if you watch the entire series and the bardock movie, you’ll see that there are in fact some sayins that have a different color hair, and some that are bald..

First let me begin with the topic of ‘American supremism’. Here I can see that you have been twisting my sentences and putting words into my mouth. What I had said about you being an american supremist is “by saying you see Saiyan as americans”, and not what had you thought when you said “you’re saying that because i said the movie was being made in america”. In fact, I didn’t say anything that linked the movie being made in the states with american supremism, so it really surprised me that you were so dumb as to type out paragraph after paragraph trying to refute a point that only existed in your imagination. Or are you just trying to change the focus because you know you just can’t win on this topic?
Now let me point out what makes your other excuses ridiculous:

your responses are idiotic.. i answered questions, and explained my answers over and over again, and you never got it because YOU are stupid..
not others.. just you.. you can’t reason, or listen very well.. I answered and explained everything. i gave logical reasons to support my statments, and even explained what was purely opinionated, and how i could respect difference of opinions.
you on the other hand could not see things reasonably and can not respect peoples differences in an objective situation. It makes you seem incapable of understanding anything beyond your own ideas, and in turn makes you seem ignorant and juvenile.
I appologize if i’ve hurt your feelings in any way, but seriously, you should slow down and listen to what is actually being said, and be a little bit more understanding…
I’m sure your not really stupid or an idiot.. however your passion for Dragonball seems to have emotionally blinded you or at least clouded your judgement a bit and made your statements somewhat unrealistic.. don’t be so serious about it all… i hope that you, other DBZ fans and myself can all enjoy this movie whenever it comes out, and if some people don’t care to see it well that’s understandable, but i hope for the sake of our “passion” some of us can still find some common ground and enjoy the film.. i’m going to watch it and hope it turns out better than i would have ever thought.. it may stink, or it may be better than i ever imagined.. i’ll just have to wait and see.. and if it is great, i hope you get to see it sometime too.. =)
